I Believe in You

ree

Let me share something with you I've learned after decades of watching people transform their lives: the most powerful moment in anyone's journey isn't when they achieve their goal—it's when they finally decide they're worth the effort.

I've met thousands of people over the years, and I can tell you this with absolute certainty—you already possess everything you need to succeed. Not everything you “want”, but everything you “need”. The difference between those who break through and those who stay stuck isn't talent, luck, or even opportunity. It's the willingness to take that first step while their knees are still shaking.

You see, I've noticed something interesting about human nature. We wait for permission to pursue our dreams. We wait for the perfect plan, the right moment, or for someone else to validate our vision. But here's what I've discovered: permission never comes from the outside. It only comes from within.

Maybe you're carrying the weight of financial stress right now. Perhaps you've started that business idea three different times, only to watch it fizzle out. Or maybe you're staring at a blank document, wondering if you really have a book inside you worth writing. I want you to know something—every setback you've experienced isn't evidence that you can't succeed. It's proof that you're brave enough to try.

The people I admire most aren't those who never failed. They're the ones who failed forward. They understood that growth happens in the gap between where you are and where you want to be. That uncomfortable space isn't a problem to be solved—it's a classroom to be embraced.

I often tell people that leadership begins with leading yourself, and leading yourself begins with believing in yourself. Not blind confidence, but informed faith. Faith built on the understanding that your past doesn't determine your future unless you let it. Faith rooted in the knowledge that every expert was once a beginner, every pro was once an amateur, every icon was once an unknown.

Your dreams matter because you matter. That idea that keeps surfacing in your mind? It's not there by accident. That vision you have for your life? It's not too big for you—you're growing into it. The very fact that you can conceive of something greater for your life is evidence that you're capable of achieving it.

I've learned that we don't get in life what we want—we get what we believe we deserve. And right now, I need you to believe you deserve more than you're currently experiencing. You deserve to wake up excited about your day. You deserve to see your efforts produce results. You deserve to look back on your life and know you gave it everything you had.

The path forward isn't always clear, but it's always there. Sometimes it's a highway, sometimes it's a winding trail, and sometimes you have to machete your way through the undergrowth. But it's always there, waiting for someone with enough courage to take the first step.

So, here's what I want you to do. Pick one thing—just one—that you've been putting off. Maybe it's making that phone call, writing that first chapter, or finally having that difficult conversation. Do it today. Not because it's easy, but because it's necessary. Because every journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and your journey begins the moment you decide you're worth it.

You have something unique to offer this world. Your combination of experiences, perspectives, and dreams exists nowhere else on earth. The world needs what you have to give, but first, you need to believe it yourself.

I believe in you. More importantly, it's time you believed in you too.

To your growth and freedom,

Dr. Michael Schulz.
